Here is a recap of the performances that stood out, in a good way and bad way, from the games played on Friday, August 30, 2019.
The Good
RB Johnathan Taylor, Wisconsin: 4 touchdowns in a 49-0 rout of South Florida: 135 yards on 12 carries and 2 TD’s; 2 catches for 48 yards and 2 TD’s.
The Bad
Penalties. Michigan State vs.Tulsa combined for 22 yellow flags for 202 yards in penalties.
The Ugly
The Tulsa Golden Hurricane rushing attack was reduced to non-existent by the Michigan State defense, limiting Tulsa to, wait for it…minus 73 yards rushing, a record for ineptitude.
