The playoffs are upon us in TAPPS football. And on Saturday, it will be St. Pius X vs. Prestonwood Christian. They kick off at 2 PM in Plano, TX.

The Panthers are currently on a 2-game winning streak, coming off a 28-14 win over Kelly Catholic.

St. Pius is led on offense by QB Bryce McKeon. McKeon had passed for 824 yards and 5 touchdowns and 2 INTs. The ground game is led by RB Burke Battenfield. He has rushed for 836 yards (6 yard average per rush) and 12 touchdowns. He also has added 83 tackles and five tackles for loss on defense for the Panthers.

Last week against Kelly Catholic, Battenfield carried 41 times for 223 yards and three touchdowns.

McKeon’s primary target this season has been WR Jackson Mobley, who has caught 40 passes for 551 yards and seven touchdowns.

On defense, St. Pius X has racked up: 606 tackles, 54 tackles for loss, 20 sacks, and 9 INTs. They are led by:

    • Carson Hintz: 112 tackles, 14 TFLs, 6 sacks.
    • John Hays: 62 tackles, 4 TFLs.

    • Ethan Mcminn: 39 tackles, 5 INTs.
