Prestonwood Christian Cruised to Win Over St. Pius X

Prestonwood Christian scored all of its points in the first half and held St. Pius X of Houston to 153 total yards as Prestonwood Christian cruised to a 45-7 win.

The Lions gained 20 first downs and 384 yards of offense.

Lions QB Maguire Martin completed 16 of 22 passes for 204 yards and two touchdowns and zero interceptions. He also added 52 yards rushing and a score.

Derek Eusebio also threw a TD pass to Peyton Behm.

RB Tarris Murray also added a rushing touchdown for Prestonwood Christian.

WR Coco Escheik caught both of Martin’s touchdown passes.

The Lions’ defense forced two St. Pius turnovers (a fumble and an INT) and held the Panthers to just nine first downs for the game.

St. Pius didn’t score until the 3rd quarter when QB Bryce McKeon found Jackson Mobley for a 5-yard TD pass to get on the scoreboard. McKeon finished the game with 111 passing yards and also threw an INT.

The Panthers’ running game was a non-factor as they were held out of the endzone and averaged less than 2-yards per rush.

Prestonwood Christian (7-4) advances to play Parish Episcopal on November 20th in Frisco, TX.

St. Pius finishes the season with a 5-6 record. The schedule results:
