
LB Tyler Grubbs of La. Tech Earns Freshman All-America Honors
LB Tyler Grubbs of La. Tech earned post-season accolades, being named to the ESPN 2020 True Freshman All-America Team.
Grubbs, from New Orleans, was the only C-USA player and one of only three Group of Five players on the 22-man team.

Grubbs also earned the following accolades:

- FWAA Freshman All-American Watch List.
- 2nd Team All-C-USA
- C-USA All-Freshman Team.

He had five games of double-digit tackles, including a career-high of 16 on the road at Southern Miss. Grubbs was ranked 2nd in C-USA and 25th in the FBS averaging 9.9 tackles per game. For the season, Grubbs totaled 99 tackles and 9.5 tackles for loss.
The Bulldogs finished the season with a 5-5 record. They kick off the 2021 season on the road at Mississippi State.
