Broadmoor Buccaneers: 2025 Season Preview
The Broadmoor Buccaneers will be a senior-laden team aiming for a playoff spot in 2025.
Head coach Yasin Sarah enters his fourth season at the helm for the Bucs. He has key starters returning on both sides of the ball, led by quarterback Brandon Thomas Jr., running back/wide receiver Damarion Williams, and offensive linemen Dewayne Christopher and Jorge Alvarez.
In addition, the Bucs will rely heavily on OL/DL Tavorous Scott, RB Ryker Washington, linebacker Aidan Ingham and WR/DB Marcus Raine.

Christopher and Alvarez earned honorable mention All-District honors last season.
Despite winning just two games last season, there was improvement. The two wins came against District 6-4A opponents and longtime rivals Tara (30-14) and Belaire (36-16). Last season, the Bucs were one of the best defenses in all of Division II Non-Select. They allowed opponents less than 20 points per game. The Bucs improved their standing in the Power Ratings as well, moving up from 41st to 37th, according to geauxpreps.com.

At the end of this month, Coach Sarah, wide receiver coach Darrell Brown and the rest of the coaching staff will put the team through its paces during summer workouts in the brutal South Louisiana heat. A rite of passage that prepares these athletes for the upcoming season.
The 2025 schedule is challenging, with over half the teams on the slate posting a winning record last season.

However, the Broadmoor Buccaneers have the talent and experience to improve on that 2-win season from a year ago and could reach the postseason in 2025.
