The LSU Tigers produced a Heisman Trophy winner, went undefeated (15-0), and won the National Championship, beating the defending champion Clemson Tigers 42-25 in the title game.

As a result, the Tigers will lose a ton of production on both sides of the ball, with nine juniors declaring for the NFL Draft. They also lost coaches Joe Brady and Dave Aranda to other coaching jobs. Former NFL coach Scott Linehan takes over for Brady as Passing Game Coordinator, while Bo Pelini returns for his second stint with the Tigers as Defensive Coordinator.

In 2020, LSU will return Ja’Marr Chase and Terrace Marshall at WR, Austin Deculus, Ed Ingram, Chasen Hines, and Kardell Thomas on the offensive line, Chris Curry, Tyrion Davis-Price, and John Emery at running back, Glen Logan, Neil Farrell, and Tyler Shelvin on the defensive line, and Derek Stingley, Kary Vincent, Jr. and Jacoby Stevens in the secondary. LSU hauled in the #4 recruiting class in the nation for 2020, according to 247sports.com.

Clemson is favored to win the title in 2020 and return QB Trevor Lawrence, RB Travis Etienne, and WR Justyn Ross. The Tigers also had the #3 recruiting class in the nation for 2020, based on rankings by 247sports.com.

Ohio State turned in a stellar recruiting class, ranked #5 by 247sports.com. The Buckeyes return QB Justin Fields but loses junior starters in DE Chase Young (21 tackles for loss and 16.5 sacks), CB Jeff Okudah, and RB J.K. Dobbins (2000-yard rusher in 2019) from a team that made it to the College Football Playoff.

Georgia brings in the #1 recruiting class for 2020, according to 247sports.com. The Bulldogs also return George Pickens at WR and will have a new quarterback for the first time in three years.

And, Alabama returns DeVonta Smith and Jaylen Waddle at WR, Najee Harris at RB, Dylan Moses at LB, and will have 5-star recruit Bryce Young to compete against incumbent Mac Jones at the quarterback position. The Crimson Tide brought in the #2 recruiting class for 2020, according to 247sports.com.

I can’t wait until August.
